Zoho have refreshed the import feature. You can now manage large, complex imports, particularly
those with related data, more easily, with fewer steps and fewer errors.
Key in these enhancements is the ability to import from XLSX files with the same limit as CSV files, i.e. 100,000 rows. The limit of 5,000 rows from and XLSX file has been in place for years and thankfully has now gone.
Zoho has also made it possible to import Quotes and other commercial module data and import dependent module data along with the main module without duplications. This is particularly a great
enhancement. As is the ability to import/update multiple Notes in one import and UPDATE multiselect picklist values rather than overwriting them.
When you import data into a module, you can simultaneously import dependent module data. The term 'dependent modules' refers to the following:
- Subform records
- Multi-select lookup associations
- Multi-user associations
This means that you can drag and drop multiple files in the import tool and map them to the right
dependent modules.
In addition, you can:
- Choose whether you want to be notified via email when an import is complete.
- Use the import tool to update records even when data storage is full.
- Select ISO-8859-8 charset for Hebrew-language data imports.
