Well this one came out of nowhere. We’ve used layout rules on a module in CRM for years and its been extremely helpful to hide or show fields or make them mandatory based on another field. HOWEVER Zoho have just turbo-charged the capabilities of this humble (but very useful) functionality.

They have introduced nine, yes nine, new actions and they say they are excited. We’re very, very excited! It’s not available quite yet but should be in your accounts automatically in a week or two.

Our minds are racing as to the possibilities here and by using these new actions a variety of ‘difficult to achieve’ things using client script are avoided.

It’s just another tool in our Zoho toolbox to make our client’s lives easier and increase that comfortable feeling that Zoho really was the right choice.
